Solan is the district headquarters of Solan district in the Indian state of Himachal Pradesh. The place is named after the Hindu goddess Shoolini Devi. Karol Tibba located at an altitude of 2240 metres is highest peak of Solan region. There is a temple dedicated to Goddess Kali at Karol Peak. Along the trek, we also visit famous Pandva Gufa/cave, which is the oldest and longest cave in Himalayas. Cave starts here and ends in Parwanoo.
